Before the first surgery was performed, the Operation Theatre block was sanctified with traditional rituals – a reminder that science and spirituality go hand in hand in our approach to healing.
Ceremonial unveiling of foundation stones marked each milestone – new blocks, diagnostic facilities and service units – steadily transforming the hospital into a comprehensive centre of care for the region.
The guiding spirit of SAVMH has always been compassion. The personal blessings and presence of the Jagadgurus continue to inspire our teams to see every patient as a person deserving of kindness, respect and attentive care.
Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Multispecialty Hospital (SAVMH) was established to bring dependable, dignified healthcare closer to people. Rooted in the service ethos of Sri Sharada Peetham, we combine clinical proficiency with a humane approach to every patient.
Evolving from the Sharada Dhanvantari Charitable Hospital of the 1960s, SAVMH has grown into a comprehensive center offering coordinated care across key disciplines— medicine, surgery, women & child health, orthopaedics, emergency medicine and more.
With ICU/NICU/CCU support, modular operation theatres, dialysis, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and 24×7 diagnostics, patients receive timely treatment without the need to travel elsewhere.
Every phase of our journey reflects the community’s trust and the guidance of the Jagadgurus. What began as a modest service has steadily matured into a hospital known for disciplined protocols, transparent processes, and compassionate care.
Led by Gurusevanirata Sri P. A. Murali, CEO & Administrator, and supported by the SAVMPSJC Medical Foundation, SAVMH continues to strengthen infrastructure and clinical teams so that quality care remains within everyone’s reach.
Our pledge is simple: no patient should be turned away for want of facilities.
Our vision is to be a centre of excellence that blends modern medicine with timeless values— delivering affordable, ethical, and holistic healing for the body, mind, and spirit.
The growth of Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Multispecialty Hospital has often been shaped by moments that felt beyond ordinary effort—times when challenges eased and the next step became clear through the blessings of the Jagadgurus.
“More than a medical institution, this hospital stands as an offering of seva, compassion and faith.”
In its earliest days, when resources were extremely limited, Jagadguru Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji directed that a maternity ward be prioritised. Through the heartfelt contributions of devotees, an operation theatre and a few special rooms were created, forming the very foundation of the hospital. Many recall this phase as a testament to his guiding presence.
During the construction of the male ward, the team encountered an urgent shortage of funds. Mahaswamiji reassured the administrators that support would arrive soon. Within two days, a devotee visited unexpectedly and offered an amount that matched the exact requirement—an incident still remembered with gratitude and wonder.
A consultant once woke up with a strong inner prompting—almost like a message in a dream—urging her to return to the hospital immediately. When she reached, she found a critically ill patient who needed urgent attention. Her timely return and swift intervention saved a life, leaving the team deeply moved by the experience.
A young child, born after years of prayer, suddenly developed severe meningitis. Days before the condition worsened, his father had been advised to obtain a newly introduced antibiotic. When the boy slipped into coma, the same medicine was administered—and within 72 hours, he showed remarkable recovery. Later reports confirmed that it was precisely the drug required. For the family, it remains a profound moment of grace intertwined with modern medicine.
